Vocalist, pianist and composer Mala Waldron, the daughter and namesake of jazz pianist/composer, Mal Waldron, has performed across the globe in France, Italy, Japan, China, Russia as well as in the US.  She’s been presented in many festivals including the Port Jazz Fest (opening for Kenny Rankin), Corinaldo Jazz Fest and Catania Jazz Festivals in Italy, the Jazz XOXO Asian Tour (Hennessy-Moet), The Diet Coke Women in Jazz Festival (Jazz at Lincoln Center) opening for Patrice Rushen and most recently performed with her trio at the highly acclaimed Kennedy Center.  Key recordings includeHe’s My  Father, a duo project with her father, Lullabye, a tribute to her godmother, Billie Holiday, and her first U.S. release, Always There, which was named to Jazz USA’s: Top 20 Jazz CDs of 2006.
