Holidays in Katonah!

The Katonah Chamber of Commerce and KVIS have teamed up again this year to offer a variety of fun community events for our town.

The festivities started with the annual Menorah and Christmas Tree Lighting on the beautiful Sunday evening of November 28th.

Up next is a FREE screening of the holiday classic IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: Friday, December 3rd at 7:30pm in the Katonah Village Library. Masks will be required inside the library.

Then, last year’s Peppermint Parade is back! On Saturday, December 4th, Santa will come to town escorted by our very own Katonah Fire Department trucks! And the KVIS Elves will be spreading holiday cheer by handing out candy canes and collecting any letters to Santa. The parade begins at 11am.

Finally, the Holiday Stroll on the evening of December 10th from 5-8pm is a perfect opportunity to shop local while enjoying live music; the beautiful holiday lights; and other special events happening all up and down Katonah Avenue.

We at KVIS are so happy to be a part of these wonderful holiday traditions and look forward to seeing everyone in town!

The KVIS Halloween Parade

This year’s Halloween Parade may have been our biggest one yet!

Katonah Avenue was filled with so many amazing costumes!!

FORTUNA played a great set and even had personalized lollipops for their fans!

Katonah Road Races: Register Now!

Join us on September 18th for the 20th annual Katonah Village Improvement Society Road Races!! Generous sponsors and donors have arranged for a great morning of running! The Awards ceremony will be held immediately after the races end. Come to run, or come to cheer on the runners and walkers!

Registration*

5K: Adults (ages 19 and up) register for the 5k around beautiful Katonah. The race starts at 8am at the corner of Edgemont and The Parkway. Pre-registration costs $30. If you sign up after Sept 17th, the price increases to $35. 5K registrants aged 13-18 pay $20 to participate.

KIDS 1-MILE: Kids are encouraged to run the 1-miler that also starts at 9:00am at the corner of Edgemont and The Parkway. Pre-registration for the 1-mile race costs $10.

*The first 125 registrants will receive a free t-shirt which will be available for pick up at our generous sponsor &James (180 Katonah Avenue) in August. Details regarding pick-up dates to follow.

Halloween 2018 Parade – Dry and Fun!

2018 KVIS HalloweenParade — 2018 KVIS Halloween Parade

The 2018 KVIS-Sponsored Katonah Halloween Parade was able to take place this year after two years of rainouts. Approximately 300 people gathered on Sunday, October 28th, in Katonah to enjoy the DJ Music provided by Abcent, watch parents, kids and dogs in costume parade up and down Katonah Avenue, and enjoy cider and donuts that were provided by KVIS.

The event was co-sponsored by the Town of Bedford and KVIS and organizers very much appreciated all the help from the Highway Department and Police Department in closing down the roads and ensuring the kids event was fun and safe for all!

Spring Clean Up Day

May 19, 2018

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday May 5 for the KVIS Clean Up Day to take a trash bag and a route map to pitch in and keep Katonah beautiful, or buy a plant in support of KVIS! It was a beautiful day and almost all of the routes were covered and lots of trash removed from our roads and parks. THANK YOU, KATONAH!
