September marks as much of a “new year” as January for many of us. So how about make a new year resolution to participate in the Katonah 5k? It’s good for you, good for the community, and it’s a lot of fun!

For the 17th annual Katonah Village Improvement Society Road Races, KVIS will be making a special gift to the Town, local singer Skylar Martins will be singing at the starting line, and our volunteers, generous sponsors and donors have arranged for a great morning of running! The Awards ceremony will be held immediately after the races end. Come to run, or come to cheer on the runners and walkers!

Registration

5K: Adults register for the 5k around beautiful Katonah. The race starts at 8am at the corner of Edgemont and The Parkway. Pre-registration costs $35 and the first 150 to sign up get a cool K5k t-shirt. If you sign up after Sept 7th, the price increases to $40.

KIDS 1-MILE: Kids are encouraged to run the 1-miler that also starts at 9:00am at the corner of Edgemont and The Parkway. Pre-registration for the 1-mile race costs $25 and the first 60 to register get a t-shirt. After Sept 7th the price increases to $30.

5K STUDENTS: Use the code KATONAHTEAM at checkout to get $15 discount off the race fee.

1-MILE MULTI KIDS: Families with more than one child running in the kids 1 mile race, use the code KATONAHKIDS at checkout for a $10 discount for each child you register.

Kids Training Runs

Local runner and resident Rhea Johnson, MD, will hold a series of training runs for kids interested in getting warmed up for the big day. The dates and times will be posted on the on the KVIS website when they are available.
