Since its founding, KVIS has been active in sponsoring community activities that enhance the quality of life of its residents and build a strong sense of community. Each year, KVIS volunteers organize events that bring new and old village neighbors together such as:
- K5K Road Race
- Katonah Halloween Parade
- The Oscars Come to Katonah Film Series
- KVIS Wine Tasting
- KatonahLive Music Series
- Live Theatre Productions
In addition to sponsoring village cultural and social events, each spring KVIS sponsors a Town Forum where residents can learn about, question, and weigh in on various aspects of village life. Also in the spring, KVIS organizes a community-wide clean-up day and plant sale. KVIS has helped coordinate community-wide celebrations such as the Millennium Party, Katonah’s 100th birthday, and the recent Cen20ial event marking Katonah’s 120 years.
